Wintrol & Truth Motor Covers

Wintrol & Truth motor covers A motor cover is included with each each Standard Motor Kit and Skylight Motor Kit. These individual motor covers are intended as a replacement for your existing damaged motor covers.

The Wintrol Motor Cover (top) provides a reduced width and more complete coverage than the original Truth Sentry 2000 ® Motor Cover (bottom) from Truth Hardware. The soft lines of the Wintrol Motor Cover provides less visible installations and will improve the aesthetics in nearly every application!

Generally, the Wintrol Motor Cover will be included with our Standard Motor Kit. However, some Standard Motor Kits will include a Truth Motor Cover when better hardware coverage can be obtained.

All motor covers are available in bronze, off-white, and champagne.

Deeper pocketing of motor. Sides extend to help eliminate unsightly view of underside of motor from both inside and outside.
Smooth exterior. No button or clips. Very simple "screw-less" installation of cover.

Step 2 - Install Motor Cover

Install Wintrol motor cover 1. As seen in the diagrams, in some applications you can mount the motor closer to the sill and enable the Wintrol Motor Cover to dress completely down to the woodwork. Note: When mounting the motor "flat side down" cover the screwhole with tape to prevent grease leakage.

2. The Wintrol Motor Cover has two thin alignment posts. These posts level the cover when mounting the motor "flat side down" (top diagram). If the motor is to be mounted "flat side up" (bottom diagram) the alignment posts should be removed.

3. The use of Velcro to retain the cover permits the installer to easily adjust the Wintrol Motor Cover's fit and maximize coverage of the motor.

4. To install, pull the fuzzy-side of the Velcro away from the prickly-side (attached to cover), remove the backing tape, and place of each side of the motor as indicated in the diagrams.
