Motorizing System Planning Guide and Wiring Diagram
Use paper and pencil to plan your general window and skylight
motorizing system to help you decide what windows and skylights
you want to motorize and how you want to control them.
Note: The term "Control Switch"
refers to either the LC-I
Control Switch or the LC-II
Control Switch.
Keep these things in mind during your planning session:
- Refer to the wiring diagram below to help you plan your
motorizing system. It shows you how all the components
are related.
- You can motorize casement and awning windows equipped
with hand-crank opening hardware.
- Casement and awning windows with motorized locks must
use a Control Switch dedicated to the window and its motorized
locks.
- You can motorize most skylights equipped with hand-crank
opening hardware.
- Each Control Switch requires a separate transformer to
provide power to the motors.
