We also have Required Motor Items (Skylight Motor Kit and Standard Motor Kit) and Optional Motor Items (Motorized Locks).

Where do I start?

This seems to be one of the most commonly asked questions from people who want to motorize and/or automate their windows and skylights. You should download and print the following documents. They are in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe's free Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Acrobat Reader you can download it from Adobe's website.

After you have printed the documents you can use them to help you determine if your windows and skylights can be motorized and also pick the components you need for your window and skylight motorizing systems. After you have planned your motorizing system and identified all of the components for your system come back to our website to place your order.

That's it in a nutshell: plan your system, pick the window and/or skylight motorizing kit, and finally select the items to control the motors. If you ever need help you can always contact us with this form or send an e-mail to and we'll help you select the items for your motorizing system.

MotorMotor

This package contains:
 A 24 VDC drive motor.

This is the same motor shipped with all Skylight Motor Kits and Standard Motor Kits. It is intended as a replacement for your existing damaged motor.

You can download the Motor System Installation Instructions (1.26MB) to familiarize yourself with the motor installation. The installation instructions are in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe's free Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Acrobat Reader you can download it from Adobe's website.

To see how the motor integrates with all of our other components to form a complete system for motorizing your casement, awning, and skylight windows, take a look our wiring diagram. It should give you a basic guideline for planning and creating your own motorized window and skylight system.

Wintrol & Truth motor covers Motor Covers

A motor cover is included with each each Standard Motor Kit and Skylight Motor Kit. These individual motor covers are intended as a replacement for your existing damaged motor covers.

The Wintrol Motor Cover (top) provides a reduced width and more complete coverage than the original Truth Sentry 2000 ® Motor Cover (bottom) from Truth Hardware. The soft lines of the Wintrol Motor Cover provides less visible installations and will improve the aesthetics in nearly every application!

Generally, the Wintrol Motor Cover will be included with our Standard Motor Kit. However, some Standard Motor Kits will include a Truth Motor Cover when better hardware coverage can be obtained.

All motor covers are available in off-white, bronze, and champagne.

Visit the Wintrol Motor Cover's details page for more information about this product and its applications.

You can download the Wintrol Motor Cover Installation Instructions (204KB) to familiarize yourself with the Wintrol Motor Cover installation. The installation instructions are in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe's free Acrobat Reader. If you don't have Acrobat Reader you can download it from Adobe's Website.
