Required Motorizing Items
This page provides a brief description of the required motor
items for Wintrol's
M2100 Window / Skylight Motorizing System
product line. It is most useful for our customers that are
familiar with our products and just need a reminder to
help them order parts. For those customers new to our
products, or those of you that need more information
about the product, visit the product's details page.

Where do I start?
This seems to be one of the most commonly asked questions
from people who want to motorize and/or automate their windows
and skylights.
You should download and print the following documents. They
are in Adobe PDF format and require Adobe's free Acrobat
Reader. If you don't have Acrobat Reader you can download
it from Adobe's website.
After you have printed the documents you can use them to
help you determine if your windows and skylights can be
motorized and also pick the components you need for your
window and skylight motorizing systems. After you have planned
your motorizing system and identified all of the components
for your system come back to our website to place your order.
That's it in a nutshell: plan your system, pick the window
and/or skylight motorizing kit, and finally select
the items to control the motors. If you ever need help you

 Skylight
Motor Kit
This kit contains:
 A
24 VDC drive motor.
An
installation kit containing all mounting hardware.
The kit is specific to the brand of skylight being
motorized.
A
Truth Motor Cover in
one of three colors (off-white, bronze, or champagne).
Note: The term "Control Switch"
refers to either the LC-I
Control Switch or the LC-II
Control Switch.
Note: A Control Switch is
not included in this kit. If you don't
already have a Control Switch it must be purchased
as a separate item (LC-I
Control Switch or LC-II
Control Switch) or as a kit (LC-I
Control Switch Kit or LC-II
Control Switch Kit).
The Skylight Motor Kit is intended to motorize
a Truth angle-drive chain operator on lightweight
(less than 50 lb. lift weight) skylights. The Skylight
Motor Kit's details page will help you identify
your skylight operator hardware to see if it can
be motorized. The details page will show you
a picture of the Truth angle-drive chain operator
that is currently supported and some pictures of
other common skylight operators that are not currently
supported. For motorizing casement or awning windows
you must use the Standard
Motor Kit.
A Control Switch is required to operate a Skylight
Motor Kit. However, since a Control Switch can control
up to three motors, one Control Switch can operate
up to three matching skylights as a group. If the
skylights are used as a group, each skylight will
move, in sequence, to the same position during an
open or close operation. Independent control of
a single skylight in a group is not possible.

The Standard
Motor Kit's details page will help you identify
your casement or awning operator hardware to see
if it can be motorized. The details page will show
you pictures of operator hardware that are currently
supported and some pictures of other common hardware
that are not currently supported. For motorizing
skylights you must use the Skylight
Motor Kit.
A Control Switch is required to operate a Standard
