About Wintrol

Wintrol was incorporated and began developing window and skylight motorizing systems in 1984. We obtained our first patent and one of the first UL Listings on a window and skylight motor drive in 1985. We began marketing primarily through window distributors, lumber yards, and contractors.

This first product was a simple but reliable hold-the-button device. Recognizing the value of a more sophisticated means of control, along with incorporating ancillary window hardware aspects, Wintrol stepped into R&D relationships with several major window companies. In the course of these relationships Wintrol was fortunate to network an extraordinary electro-mechanical development team. A variety of patents were issued and in 1994 a unique relationship was formed between Wintrol, Inc. of Helena, Montana and Truth Hardware of Owatonna, Minnesota.

We have continued to pursue a series of developments while marketing hardware, motorizing systems, and providing technical support for end-users, architects, and large-scale projects. Our knowledge of the window and skylight hardware market, in tandem with our ability to source, innovate and customize has made us especially responsive to the genuine needs of an evolving market.

Refund Policy

Wintrol is committed to customer satisfaction. If you aren't completely satisfied with one of our products you may return it within 30 days for a prompt and courteous refund. Refunds can only be issued to the credit card used to make the original purchase. Parts which have been installed must be returned in the original packaging and are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Our secure software (SSL) is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions. It encrypts your identification and credit card number so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet.

In the unlikely event of fraudulent use, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50 of fraudulent charges resulting from unauthorized use of your credit card.
