Motorize Your Windows and Skylights!
Wintrol's M2100 Motorizing System
for Windows and Skylights is designed to motorize casement, awning, and skylight windows.
Don't be fooled by its low profile design and quiet running
motor - there are a lot of exciting and powerful features
built into this motorizing system.
The
built-in flexibility of Wintrol's
M2100 Motorizing System will allow you to chose the
motor options to meet almost any job requirement. Whether
your need is low cost, wireless control,
multiple control, or complete automated control, Wintrol's
M2100 Motorizing System can be tailored to meet
your needs. Wintrol is doing for the windows in your home
or office what the automobile industry has done for the
windows in your car - except we can make the windows in
your home smarter!
FEATURES
No
Special Preparation is required by the window manufacturer,
making the M2100 Motorizing System suitable for on-site installation
on new and existing (retrofit) windows. No field adjustments
are required.
Fits
Most Crank-Type Operators. The motor
design fits onto the existing window operator spline in
place of the existing hand crank.
Rain
Sensor. The Rain
Sensor will automatically close all windows and skylights when
moisture is detected. It is included with all LC-II
Control Switch Kits.
Sequential
Control of up to three skylights
or windows without
Motorized Locks, or one window
with up to two Motorized
Locks, is possible from a single LC-I
Control Switch or LC-II
Control Switch.
Automatic
Motor Reversal has been engineered into the LC-I
Control Switch and LC-II
Control Switch to reverse the motor should an obstruction
stop the window while closing.
A
Screen Interlock is provided which, when properly installed,
electrically disconnects the motor when the screen is removed.
The Automatic Motor Reversal and Screen Interlock are intended
to help prevent personal injury which could result from reaching
into the window area during its operation.
Automatic
Compensation For Dirty or Worn Hardware. As the window
ages, the operating hardware naturally becomes dirty which
makes the window harder to operate. The M2100 Motorizing
System automatically compensates for this by reducing the
amount of window opening, which is a sign to the homeowner
to clean the operating hardware. This also keeps the driving
force of the motor components to a minimum until the problem
is corrected.
U.L.
Listed and C.S.A. Approved. Also meets the requirements
for Class II installation.
Control
Modules fit a standard single gang electrical box and
accept standard decora style cover plates.
Motorized
Sash Locks. Motorized
Locks are available for use with LC-I
Control Switch and LC-II
Control Switch for casement and awning windows. Fits
most windows.
System
Components Are Available Individually to allow maximum
ordering flexibility to meet the requirements of any job
- large or small. It also allows M2100 Motorizing System
features to be easily added at a later date.
Avoid
Problems Associated with Power Outages by using commonly
available Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) with the M2100
Motorizing System.
CONTROL OPTIONS
The externally controllable LC-II
Control Switch has inputs on its motor control module
to allow maximum window control flexibility. Each LC-II
Control Switch is capable of controlling up to three
skylights or windows
without Motorized Locks
or one window
with up to two Motorized
Locks. Control flexibility comes from the LC-II
Control Switch's inputs and the accessory modules.
The LC-II Control
Switch inputs allow the following types of optional controls:
The IR
Receiver provides a wireless infrared remote control.
The IR Receiver can
be connected to control up to 25 LC-II
Control Switches which, in turn, can control up to 75
windows. A Rain Sensor
input is also provided on the IR
Receiver.
The RS
Module provides a remote open/close switch. The RS
Module can also be connected to control up to 25 LC-II
Control Switches which, in turn, can control up to 75
windows. A Rain Sensor
input is also provided on the RS
Module.
Control
Inputs for discrete devices, such as a thermostat,
are provided. These inputs are designed to be activated by
any SPST (single pole, single throw) switch or sensor suitable
for low voltage applications. Each discrete device can be
connected to control up to 25 LC-II
Control Switches.
Home
Automation Systems, including X-10 ®, can also be connected
to the LC-II Control
Switch to provide full control of the M2100 Motorizing
System.
Close
& Hold is an input that, when activated, closes all windows
and ignores all other inputs. This input is intended for
use with security systems when it is necessary to have an
overriding control. This input can be activated by any SPST
switch or sensor suitable for low voltage applications.
Open &
Hold is an input that, when activated, opens all windows
and ignores all other inputs. This input can be activated
by any SPST switch or sensor suitable for low voltage applications.
This input has priority over Close & Hold.
The LC-II Control
Switch also has an output which sends a signal when the
window is closed or not closed. This output is not intended
to replace window position information for security purposes.
CONSUMER NOTICE
Wintrol's M2100 Motorizing System for Windows and Skylights
must be installed by a qualified electrician.
